Natuurlijk Heidepark

"The board of Natuurlijk Heidepark had been considering the idea of building a climbing forest to complement their existing activities for some time."

The plan

A 10-meter high starting tower with 4 climbing routes varying in length, height, and difficulty. Additionally, a 110-meter long zipline where guests will fly over the gnome village and the natural pool.

The climbing tower

Four routes of varying difficulty levels have been laid out from the central tower, “the bird’s nest.” We chose to equip this tower with a climbing element instead of stairs. This creates a real climbing adventure from start to finish!

4 different climbing routes

The climbing forest has four different routes that vary in height, length, and difficulty. The climbing forest is suitable for young and old, with a minimum height of 1.20 m.

Route 1: De Kievit (The Lapwing)
Is a course for beginners with mainly elements where you need to maintain your balance and climbing obstacles for agility.

Route 2: De Ekster (The Magpie)
Route 1 ends back in the tower (the bird’s nest). Here, climbers can switch climbing routes using the Expoglider switch system. De Ekster is an intermediate level route with varied elements where participants are challenged in different ways: balancing, climbing, crawling, and swinging. This course has a lot of variety, allowing participants to also enjoy the views of the surroundings.

Route 3: De Buizerd (The Buzzard)
A very challenging course, so not for beginners! Located at the highest level, it demands a lot of the participant’s agility, strength, and perseverance from the first to the last element.

Route 4: De Zwaluw (The Swallow)
Like the De Ekster route, this course is of an intermediate level with a fun mix of ziplines and climbing obstacles. Between the various challenging climbing obstacles, such as the Heidepark logo and large mushrooms, several ziplines are installed, one of which goes right across the natural swimming pool.

Safety

The client chose the Expoglider continuous belay system. This is a continuous belay system where participants are secured from the start to the finish point and cannot become detached from the safety cable. Safe and user-friendly! The central switch system in the starting tower provides access to the four routes.

Tim - Assembly Technician

The safety of the end user is the most important thing. All installations assembled by us are therefore extensively tested and carefully checked before they are put into use!
